Use advanced teletext features

Access the teletext options menu

Most of the adv anced teletext featur es are
accessed via th e teletext options me nu.
1 Press MHEG/TELETEXT.
The teletext screen appears. »
2 Press OPTIONS.
The teletext options menu appears. »
3 Press to select on e of the following
options.
• [Freeze page]Free zes the current
page.
• [Dual/Full screen]Enables and
disables dual screen teletext, which
splits the cu rrent channel or sour ce
to the left of t he screen, with
teletext on the right.
• [Reveal]Hides or reveals h idden
informatio n on a page, such as
solutions to riddles or puzzles.
• [Cycle su bpage]Cycles through
subpages automatically if subpages
are available.
• [Language]Switches to a dif ferent
language gr oup to display a lan guage
correctly when that language uses a
different character set.
4 Press OK to confirm your ch oice.
5 Press MHEG/TELETEXT to exit the
teletext options menu.
3 Press to select on e of the
following sound s ettings.
• [Smart sound]Accesses pre-defined
smart s ound settings.
• [Bass]Adjusts th e bass level.
• [Treble]Adjusts the treble level.
• [Volume]Adjusts the vol ume.
• [Vol.vis.impaired]Sets the mix of
visually impaired audio with regular
audio. When available, visually
impaired audio includes audio
descripti ons of on-screen actio n. You
can also enab le this by pressing AD
(Audio Descriptor).
• [Balance]Adjusts t he balance of the
right and lef t speakers to best su it
your listening position.
• [Audio language]Available for dig ital
channels, w hen multiple language s
are broadc ast. Lists avail able audio
languages.
• [Dual I-II]Selects between audio
languages if d ual sound is broadcast .
• [Mono/Stereo]Selects between
mono or ster eo if stereo is
broadcast.
• [TV spe akers]Turns TV speakers on
or off.
• [Surround]Enables spatial sound.
• [Auto volume]Automat ically
reduces sud den volume cha nges, for
example, w hen switching channe ls.
When enabl ed, this produces a more
consistent audio volume.
