[HDMI Video]
Select an HDMI vid eo output resolu tion that is
compatible with your TV display capability.
• [Auto] - De tect and select t he best suppor ted
video resolution automatically.
• [Native] - Set to orig inal video resolu tion.
• [480 i/576i], [480 p/576p], [720p], [1080i],
[1080p], [1080 p/24Hz] - Select a vide o
resolution sett ing that best is suppo rted by the
TV. See the TV manual for d etails.
Note
If a selected video r esolution is no t supported w ith •
your TV and a blank scre en appears , to recover pict ure
display, wait for 10 second s, or on the remo te control
press and then press “731” (numeric butto ns).
For a composite (CVBS) o r component ( YPbPr)

connection, if no vi deo output is ma de when a video
resolution under [H DMI Video] or [Component Video]
is set to an HD resoluti on (1080p/24H z, 1080p, 108 0i,
720p), connect this play er to the TV wit h an HDMI
connection to play HD videos.
[HDMI Deep Color]
This feature is availab le only when the disp lay
device is connected by an HD MI cable, and whe n it
supports deep col or feature.
• [Auto] - Enjoy vivid images in over a billion

• [On] - Enjoy vivid images in over a billion
colors on Deep Color ena bled TV. Output 12
bit color that reduces t he posterizati on effect.
• [Off ] - Output standa rd 8 bit color.
[Component Video]
Select a component vi deo output resol ution that is
compatible with the TV display capability.
• [480 i/576i], [480 p/576p], [720p], [1080i] -
Select a video resol ution setting t hat is best
supported by the T V. See the TV manual for
details.
Note
If the setting is not com patible with t he TV, a blank •
screen appears. Wait for 10 seconds for auto recovery.
Copy protected DVDs ca n only output 4 80p/576p or

480i/576i resolution.
[Picture Settings]
Select a predefine d set of picture color se ttings.

Video setup

1 Press .
2 Select [Setup], and press OK.
3 Select [Video Setup], and press .
4 Select an option, then press OK.
5 Select a sett ing, then press OK.
To return to the previous me nu, press •
BACK.
To exit the menu, press• .
[TV Display]
Select a display form at:
• [4:3 Letterbox] – For 4:3 screen TV: w ide-
screen display with bl ack bars on the top and
bottom of the screen.
• [4:3 P anscan] – For 4:3 s creen TV: full- height
display with the trimmed sides.
• [16:9 Widescre en] – For wide-scree n TV:
display picture at r atio 16:9.
• [16:9] – Fo r 16:9 screen TV: displ ay picture at
ratio 4:3 for a disc with 4 :3 ratio, with blac k
bars on the left and r ight side of the scree n.
