Hearing safety
Listen at a moderate vo lume.
Using headphones a t a high volume can impa ir your hearing. •
This product ca n produce sounds in de cibel ranges that m ay cause
hearing loss for a no rmal person, eve n for exposure less t han a
minute. The high er decibel range s are offered for thos e that may
have already expe rienced some hear ing loss.
Sound can be deceiv ing. Over time your he aring ‘comfort le vel’ •
adapts to higher vol umes of sound. So af ter prolonged lis tening,
what sounds ‘nor mal’ can actually b e loud and harmful to yo ur
hearing. To guard agai nst this, set your vo lume to a safe level befor e
your hearing adap ts and leave it ther e.
Set your volume contr ol at a low setting. •
Slowly increas e the sound until you can h ear it comforta bly and •
clearly, withou t distortion .
Prolonged expos ure to sound, even at no rmally ‘safe’ levels , •
can also cause hear ing loss.
Be sure to use your eq uipment reasona bly and take appro priate •
