TLX XL lamps are low-pressure mercury discharge lamps with a clear tubular 38 mm envelope.

The tube wall is internally covered with a mixture of fluorescent powders.TLX XL 40W and 65W lamps have an internal ignition strip for instant- start, non-preheat, starterless operation.

The lamps are provided with a special Fa6 lamp cap.This lamp cap has a long and thick pin.

It excludes all possible sparking

effects during ignition.

For this reason,TLX XL lamps are used in flameproof and increased-safety luminaires, both for indoor and outdoor applications: chemical and petroleum industries, offshore industries, mines, and any industry where traces of explosive gases may be found.

TLX XL lamps have an extended lifetime compared to normal TL lamps.
