SCAN:OFF appears in the display. The track
willcontinue to play.
#Ifthe display has automatically returned to
theplayback display, select SCAN again by press-
ingFUNCTION.
Note
Afterscanning of a CD is finished, normal play-
backof the tracks will begin again.
Pausing CD playbackPauselets you temporarily stop playback of
theCD.
1 PressFUNCTION to select PAUSE.
PressFUNCTION until PAUSE appears in the
display.
2 Pressato turn pause on.
PAUSE:ONappears in the display. Play of the
currenttrack pauses.
3 Pressbto turn pause off.
PAUSE:OFFappears in the display. Play will re-
sumeat the same point that you turned pause
on.
Note
Youcan also turn pause on or off by pressing
PAUSE.
Using disc title functionsYoucan input CD titles and display the title.
Thenext time you insert a CD for whichyou
haveentered a title, the title of that CD will be
displayed.
Entering disc titles
Disctitle input lets you input CD titles up to 8
letterslong and up to 48 disc titles into this
unit.
1 Playa CD that you want to enter the
title.
2 PressFUNCTION and hold until TITLE IN
appearsin the display.
3 Pressaor bto select a letter of the al-
phabet.
Eachpress of awill display a letter of the al-
phabetin A B C ... X Y Z and numbers in 123
...8 9 0 order. Each press of bwill display a
letterin the reverse order, such as Z Y X ... C B
Aorder.
4 Pressdto move the cursor to the next
characterposition.
Whenthe letter you want is displayed, press d
tomove the cursor to the next position and
thenselect the next letter. Press cto move
backwardsin the display.
5 Movethe cursor to the last position by
pressingdafter entering the title.
Whenyou press done more time, the entered
titleis stored in memory.
6 PressBAND to return to the playback
display.
Notes
!Titlesremain in memory, even after the disc
hasbeen removed from this unit, and are re-
calledwhen the disc is reinserted.
