CST: COHERENT SOURCE TRANSDUCER.

THE CONCENTRIC SOLUTION.

THE CST USES TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPED FROM THE TAD REFERENCE ONE AND EX SERIES SPEAKERS.

The CST employs a tweeter, con- centrically mounted at the apex of the bass/midrange driver cone to maintain sonic coherence and seamless linearity. This configuration ensures that sound propagates as if

from a single point source, maximizing image stability and dramatically reducing interference.

Directivity is precisely controlled at all frequencies, and direct and reflected sound arrives at the listener

with matched timbre—especially important with in-ceiling speakers, where unwanted reflections compro- mise clarity and impact.

Listeners enjoy a wider sweet spot than with pivoting coplanar and

coaxial designs, while the CST’s controlled dispersion increases flexibility and installation options. Uniform delivery of sound means that even off-axis positions can promise the excitement of a front-row seat.

Acceptable sound is only achieved over a relatively small area due to mismatched directivities and driver interference.

Improves upon coplanar designs, with a larger but still limited listening area by eliminating driver interference.

Matched directivity and elimination of driver interfer- ence results in sound as realistic off-axis as on-center.
