Phone Settings

This menu option allows you to modify the phone connection settings on your machine (dial prefix, etc.)

Selecting Tone/Pulse

Use this to tell the system whether your exchange requires tone or pulse dialling.

NOTE: In the UK and ROI almost all exchanges are now equipped to handle tone dialling.

1.Press Options.

2.Press Page Down if necessary.

3.Select "Data Centre Options".

4.Select "Phone Settings".

5.Select "Dial Type".

6.The display toggles between Tone or Pulse, select whichever is appropriate.

7.Press Home to return to the home screen.

Entering the Dial Prefix

Use this if you need to dial a prefix number (like 9) to get an outside line.

1.Press Options.

2.Press Page Down if necessary.

3.Select "Data Centre Options".

4.Select "Phone Settings".

5.Select "Dialling Prefix".

6.Key in the prefix number you want (such as a "9"). If you do not require a prefix number, select "No Prefix Required".

NOTE: You can use the decimal point (.) to insert a pause after the dial prefix, if required by your exchange.

7.Select "OK". You return to the Phone Settings menu.

8.Press Home to return to the home screen.
