Change Postage by Phone (PbP) Number
Use this if you need to change the number for Postage by Phone but only if you are directed to by a representative of your machine supplier
1.Press Options.
2.Press Page Down, if necessary.
3.Select "Data Centre Options".
4.Select "Phone Settings"
5.Select "PbP Phone No".
6.A warning that you should only change this number if instructed to displays. Press "Continue" to continue, or press the C key to return to the Data Centre Options menu.
7.Key in the new phone number (excluding prefix).
8.Select "OK". You return to the Data Centre menu.
9.Press Home to return to the home screen.
Selecting Blind Dialing
Use this to tell the system whether the phone connection works with or without a dial tone.
1.Press Options.
2.Press Page Down if necessary.
3.Select ‘Data Centre Options’.
4.Select ‘Phone Settings’.
5.Select ‘Blind Dialing’
6.The display toggles between ON/OFF. Select whichever is appropriate.
7.Press Home to return to the Home Screen.
NOTE: Most systems in the UK and ROI use a dial tone to signal to the machine that the telephone line is active (Blind Dial OFF). On some systems there is no dial tone and the telephone system expects the machine to dial without receiving the tone. If you are unsure about the requirements of your telephone system contact your Telephone Administrator.
