This Chapter provides an overview of ADE-4100's features and ca- pabilities.
Congratulations on the purchasing of ADE-4100. The ADSL Modem Router will allow multiple LAN users to share an Internet user account, via a DSL connection. Once the ADSL Modem Router is installed and configured, the Internet is just a click away.

ADE-4100 Features
ADE-4100 incorporates many advanced features, carefully designed to provide sophisticated functions for user’s convenience while surfing in the net.
Internet Access Features
wShared Internet Access. All users on the LAN can access the Internet through ADE-4100, using only a single external IP Address. (Routing mode)
wStandard Compliance. ADSL-Compliant with ANSI T1.413 Issue 2, ITU G.992.1 (G.DMT), and G.992.2 (G.lite).
wData Transfer Rate. Data rate up to 8 Mbps downstream and up to 1 Mbps upstream
wUser Friendly Interface. Simple and intuitive graphical user interface
wFixed or Dynamic IP Address. On the Internet (WAN port) connection, ADE-4100A/4100B supports both Dynamic IP Address (IP Address is allo- cated on connection) and Fixed IP Address.
Advanced Functions
wVirtual Servers. This feature allows Internet users to access Internet serv- ers which located on LAN side. The required setup is quick and easy.
wDMZ. One (1) PC on your local LAN can be configured to allow unrestricted 2-way communication with Servers or individual users on the Internet. This provides the ability to run programs which demand for bi-directional communi- cation.
