FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

FOREWORD

Porter-Cable Model 7812/7814 Wet/Dry Vacuum delivers 99.85% filtration efficiency which is great for fine particulate pick-up, like drywall or surface dust. These units come equipped with a powerful 9 amp motor, built in outlet for use with power tools providing automatic vacuum start-up when tool is turned on and a 6 - 10 second vacuum overrun to clear hose when tool is turned off, dual filtration system, corrosion resistant tank, large wheels for easy maneuvering and a convenient flat top surface tray for holding tools while working.

UNPACKING

Carefully remove the Vacuum Cleaner from the carton. Retain all packing materials until you have inspected and satisfactorily operated the Vacuum Cleaner.

FOREWORD Do not connect the appliance to the power source until you read and understand this entire instruction manual.

Release the two container locks (A) Fig. 1, (one on each side of Vacuum Cleaner), by pulling outward on the bottom of each lock.

Lift the Motor Unit from the container and carefully set aside. Remove the wheels and accessories from the container.

ASSEMBLY

ASSEMBLY TOOLS REQUIRED - Adjustable Wrench, Rubber Mallet. ASSEMBLY TIME ESTIMATE - 30 minutes or less.

ASSEMBLY DISCONNECT APPLIANCE FROM POWER SOURCE.

NOTE: For Model 7814, begin with instruction #5.

1.Invert the container on a solid, flat surface (like a workbench or floor).

2.Install the two Steering Rollers (A) Fig. 2 into the holes provided in the bottom of the container. Seat firmly.

3.Insert the wand rest, (B) Fig. 2 into its position and seat firmly.

4.The wheel and axle assembly consists of two wheels on an axle. Place this assembly in the slot provided in the bottom of the container, and press into place. Seat firmly. (See Figure 2)
