22. Give your work undivided attention. Looking around, carrying on a conv ersation and “hor se-play” are
careless acts that can result in serious injury.
23. Maintain a balanced stance at all tim es so that you do not f all or lean agai nst movi ng parts. Do not
overreach or use excessive force to perform any machine operation.
24. Use the right tool at the correct speed and f eed rat e. Do not force a t ool or attac hment to do a job for
which it was not designed. The right tool will do the job better and safer.
25. Use recommended accessories; im proper accessories may be hazardous.
26. Maintain tools with care. Keep tools sharp and clean f or the best and safest perform ance. Follow
instructions for lubricating and changing accessories.
27. Disconnect from power both the stock f eeder and t he auxi li ary machi ne befor e cleani ng. Use a brush
