Junction box
The junction box connects outside cables to the inside wiring. It also receives power from your power supply and supplies power to the RAU. The junction box and the grounding rod minimize damage to the telephone from lightning strikes to the RAU and outdoor cabling. It is designed to help minimize personal injury in the event of a lightning strike.
