Family Tetris is a unique game that allows both c hildren and adults to
play cooperatively, at any skill level. The o bject is to position the fallin g
Tetriminos across the bottom of the Matri x in order to create a solid
line with no empty spaces. Tetriminos a re the 7 shapes created from
4 blocks (Minos) joined to gether, and can be rotated or moved as the y
fall. When an entire horizontal li ne fills with Minos, the line clea rs from
the Matrix. If lines are not comple tely filled with Minos, they will no t
clear from the Matrix, and the Tetrimino s will continue to stack up highe r
and higher. If the stack of Tetriminos reaches t he top of the Matrix, the
game is over!

MAIN MENU

Family Tetris features five Tetris va riants:

1) Family: Cooperate t o clear each level!

Summary:
One or two players (each in thei r own Matrix) contribute Line Cl ears
toward the Goal throughout 15 levels, in the fa stest overall time.
Goal per level = 10 lines. (5 lines if bot h players using 1 block)

2) Race: How fast c an you clear 40 lines?

Summary:
One or two players (each in thei r own Matrix) contribute Line Cl ears
toward the Goal of 40, in the fastest overall ti me.

3) Marathon: G o for a great score!

Summary:
The goal is to complete all 15 levels (150 lines in total ) to get the most
points possible. There is no tim e limit.
Goal per level = 10 lines.

4) Dig: Clear th e bottom line!

Summary:
The goal is for one or two players, at e ither 3 or 4-Block Tetrimino sizes ,
to complete 15 “Digs” either alone or by coo peratively “digging” to the
bottom through a progressive ly deeper broken line pile, a nd then clear-
ing the bottom line. Each bottom lin e clear by either person con tributes
one dig, until at 15 digs, the game is over.
2P mode has both players trying to re ach the bottom and clear the
bottom line, however each grid is played i ndependently and when o ne
person clears they contrib ute a “dig” toward the 15 dig total, and only
their broken line pile increase s, while the other player contin ues. This al-
lows both players to play at their own pace whi le trying to complete the
game in the fastest time and mainta in an increasing challe nge.

5) Versus: Compet e against another player !

Summary:
For two players only using 4-Blo ck Tetriminos, both players attemp t to
clear lines in order to send new line s into their opponent’s matrix . The
player to outlast or cause the other pl ayer to reach the top of the Matrix
wins! The winner of the match is th e first player to win two of three game s.
