Handset
Coiled Handset Cord — Connects handset to base.
AC Adapter — For amplified ringer volume, connect the adapter’s barrel plug to the phone’s DC 9V jack. Connect the other end to a standard AC outlet. When the adapter is connected, the keypad lights when you lift the handset.

Step One
Attach the Mounting Bracket
1.Position the mounting bracket as shown.
2.Align the bracket tabs with the slots on the phone’s base.
3. Snap the bracket into place.

Mount and Connect the Phone
On a Wall
Your telephone connects directly to a modular telephone line jack. If your telephone wiring does not have a modular jack, you can update the wiring yourself using jacks and adapters (available at your local RadioShack store), or have the telephone company update the wiring for you. You must use compatible modular jacks that are compliant with Part 68 of FCC Rules and the requirements adopted by the ACTA. The telephone cord and modular plug provided is Part 68 compliant for connecting to the telephone company network.

1.Drill two vertical holes 315/16 inches apart.

2.Thread a screw (not supplied) into each hole, letting the heads extend about 3/16 inch from the wall.
3.Fit the keyhole slots over the screw heads and slide the phone downward to secure it.

TONE PULSE — Slide to TONE or PULSE to select the desired dialing mode (depends on you phone service). Press * during a call to switch from pulse to tone dialing.
Ring Indicator — Flashes when an incoming call is received.
LINE Jack — Connect line cord here.
Fit the keyhole slots over the wall plate studs. Slide the phone downward to secure it.
