Removing the Battery Insulation Strip

To prevent battery drainage during shipping, your recorder is shipped with an insulation strip that you must remove before use.

1.Press and rotate the battery compartment cover counterclockwise to remove it.

2.Remove the insulation strip.

3.Replace the cover and rotate it clockwise to secure it.

Recording a Message

You can record a message up to 10 seconds long. The message remains saved even if the recorder loses battery power.

1.Turn the recorder over and hold the microphone about two inches (5 cm) away from your mouth.

2.Hold down REC. The indicator lights and recording begins.

3.Speak into the microphone and release REC after you finish. The indicator flashes every three seconds to indicate a new message is recorded.

Note: If you do not release REC, the recording stops automatically after 10 seconds.

Playing a Message

Press the top cover of the recorder to play the message. The REC indicator turns off.

Using the Magnet

The magnet on the bottom of the recorder holds it against any metal surface, such as a refrigerator, oven or file cabinet. Simply place the recorder on a metal surface to mount it.

Keep the recorder dry. If it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately.

Use and store the recorder only in room temperature environments.
