OPERATION

If you subscribe to Caller ID service from your phone company, the phone company sends infor- mation about the caller, as well as the time and date, between the first and second rings of every call you receive. The System 997/998 displays this information and updates the system’s clock. (You cannot manually set the date and time.)

CALL flashes on the display during an incoming call, then the Caller ID information appears. After 20 seconds, the system returns to the clock dis- play.

NEW flashes on the display to show that you have received new calls since the last time you re- viewed Caller ID records.
