Installing the Transducer Cable – Sidelooker Option

1.If the installation includes the optional Sidelooker transducer, there will be two transducer cables. See Fig. 2-14. The cable from the Sidelooker includes a “Y” connector.

2.Plug the cable from the depth transducer into the open end of the “Y” connector.

If extending this cable only, use the M99-140 cable.

If adding an extension here, use the M99-139 cable.

Making the DC Power Connections

1.The display unit is designed for use on boats with 12V DC power systems. (The unit can operate as long as the DC voltage is between 11.0 and 16V DC.) The display unit can be wired to a negative- ground system, or both the negative and positive supply lines may be “floating” above ground. This unit is not intended for use on boats with positive ground.

2.The 5-foot power cable (1.5 m) supplied with the display unit should reach the source of DC power. On a small boat, connect the power
