All standard DVD and CD functions are quick and easy, and the full-function remote duplicates all needed options for use at home, at business meetings, or in a hotel room. Color, tint, brightness and contrast are fully adjustable, and DVD discs can be set to play with a one-touch control, or you can access MENU control for full functionality, including CD-R/MP3 discs, audio CDs, or video CDs.

The MobileFlex Slot-Loading disc system and transport are designed to better withstand road vibrations, even during play. The special motorized disc-loading slot reduces the threat of dust, dirt and spills that often damage less expensive tray models. This vacuum-load design also eliminates sharp edges and accidental breakage that can happen with low cost CD exit drawers while traveling. Additionally, both the DC transformer and the AC step-down housing are built-in, allowing connecting cables to be sleek and easy to use. No heavy bulky boxes at the end of the AC cord—just a UL approved two-prong connector.

RCA engineering includes the more comprehensive multi-test safety approval. Rather than a simple test of the power cord, this safety coverage includes the complete unit including the cabinet, power supply, car-cigarette lighter adapter, and all circuitry. Additionally, RCA engineering has carefully designed the unit for interior car safety.

The unit features a collapsing screen, with a “drop-forward” LCD panel. The interior and driver facing panel cluster are backlighted for quick access, but without distraction. All audio video cables, including headphone jacks, exit the unit conveniently behind the view screen, again preventing terminal plugs from facing toward viewers. The new cross- handle design allows virtually all rear center seat belts to be lapped through the unit, positioning the unit for a more secure ride.
