Maintenance

Cleaning the Disc

A defective or soiled disc inserted into the unit can cause sound to drop out during playback.

Handle the disc by holding its inner and outer edges.

• Do NOT touch the surface of the unlabeled side of the disc.

Do NOT stick paper or tape on the surface.

Do NOT expose the disc to direct sunlight or excessive heat.

Clean the disc before playback. Wipe the disc from the center outward with a cleaning cloth.

NEVER use solvents such as benzine or alcohol to clean the disc.

Do NOT use irregular shaped discs (example: heart shaped, octagonal, etc.). They may cause malfunctions.

Cleaning the Unit

Be sure to turn the unit off and disconnect the AC power adapter before cleaning the unit.

Wipe the unit with a dry soft cloth. If the surfaces are extremely dirty, wipe clean with a cloth that has been dipped in a weak soap-and-water solution and wrung out thoroughly, then wipe with a dry cloth.

Never use alcohol, benzine, thinner, cleaning fluid or other chemicals. Do NOT use compressed air to remove dust.

Important Note

Before transporting the unit, remove the disc from the disc compartment.

The AC/DC adaptor is used as disconnect device. The AC/DC adaptor of apparatus should not be obstructed OR should be easily accessed during intended used. To be completely disconnect the power input, the AC/DC adaptor of apparatus shall be disconnected from the mains.

Make sure the unit is securely fastened to prevent it from falling or flying through the air in the event of an accident.

When the inside of the cigarette lighter socket is dirty with ashes or dust, the plug section may become hot due to poor contact. Be sure to clean the cigarette lighter socket before use.

After use, disconnect the 12V car power adapter from both the unit and cigarette lighter socket.

Note:

It is recommended USB flash drive is plugged when the unit is in STANDBY mode.

It does not support USB harddisk mass storage device, multi-card reader and other USB computer peripheral.

It only supports USB flash drive (FAT32/16 max. capacity 32G bytes max, video bitrate is 7Mbps).

Make sure your USB flash drive or SD card is FAT16/FAT32 file system. All other file system will not be supported.

D. Using a SD Card Slot

You can connect a Secure Digital (SD) card (not included) to the memory expansion card slot on the unit to play sound & picture files.

Plug the SD card fully into the memory expansion card slot on the unit until it clicks.

In DVD mode, press STOP button once to stop DVD playing, press STOP button three times to change to mode (DVD/USB/SD). In memory expansion card mode, it reads the information of the SD card and playing the picture and/or sound file(s).

Warning:

It is recommended the SD card is plugged when the unit is in STANDBY mode.

If the SD card is oriented incorrectly, it will not go fully into the slot. Do not apply force when inserting the

SD card.

To remove the SD card, push the SD card into the slot and then slowly remove your finger, the lock is released and the SD card is pushed out.

Make sure to use correct Audio/Video cable, wrong plug connection may cause weak signal.

If you have a stereo VCR, make sure you set it in stereo mode.

Due to copyright protection, DVD movies cannot be copied. If you copy a DVD movie onto a videotape, the resulting copy will be unclear, with poor sound quality. This is NOT caused by a defective DVD system.

Note:

Pressing STOP button is for "function change" between DVD/CD/CD-ROM, USB and/or SD Card mode.

To stop, press STOP button. Pressing button can resume in previous playback position. If STOP button is pressed three times, the unit trys to find the content of disc ("LOADING..." is shown), to find the content of USB ("READ USB" is shown) and to find the content of SD ("READ CARD" is shown).

To change media (e.g. change DVD/CD/CD-ROM to USB), press STOP twice for function change.

If only DVD/CD/CD-ROM exists, "NO USB/NO CARD" is shown as indication.

Please make sure your USB flash drive or SD card is FAT file system instead of NTFS file system. The DVD unit does not support NTFS file system.

E. Connecting to HDMI

HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) supports both video and audio on a single digital connection for

carpeting.

• To avoid magnetizing, do not place the unit near speakers or magnets.

• Do not use this unit in direct sunlight or leave the unit in a closed automobile (or similar environments) where it would be

exposed to high temperatures above 104°F (40°C).

• No naked flame sources such as lighted candles should be placed on the AC power adapter or the main unit.

• The AC/DC adaptor and apparatus should not be exposed to splashing or dripping liquids, and no objects filled with liquids,

such as vases, should be placed on the AC/DC adaptor and apparatus.

• The apparatus should not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, should be

On Safety

When connecting or disconnecting the AC power adapter, grip the plug and not the cord itself. Pulling the cord may damage it and create a hazard.

When you are not going to use the unit for a long period of time, disconnect the AC power adapter.

is condensation inside the unit, the unit may not function normally. Let the unit stand for 1 to 2 hours before turning the power

Turning on the Unit

1.Slide the CHARGE / STANDBY / ON switch on the left side of the unit to the ON position.

2.The start-up picture will appear on the screen.

3.After use, slide the CHARGE / STANDBY / ON switch to the STANDBY (power off ) position.

Connect the cable from the source equipment (HDMI IN) to the rear of this unit (HDMI OUT), be sure to turn off the power and unplug both units from the wall outlet before making any connections.

When using the HDMI cable, do not connect to other analog video outputs.

In DVD mode, press STOP button once to stop DVD playing. In HDMI mode, it reads both video and audio sources.
