Cleaning & Maintenance

To assure optimal performance,Remington® recommends you turn off the groomer after each use and unplug the adapter when it’s not being used to recharge the groomer.

Clean your groomer regularly

Cleaning with brush

Your groomer’s cutting blades are perma- nently lubricated and will never need oiling if they are never exposed to water. To main- tain this lubrication, use the enclosed brush to clean the unit.

Thoroughly brush and blow out hair clip- pings from the cutter, the bottom of the attachments, and the top of the

power handle.

Cleaning with water

Your groomer’s trimmer attachments have rust-resistant, stainless-steel cutting blades that permit the cutting assemblies to be rinsed under running water if you choose.

Remove all attachments by rotating them counter- clockwise to the unlock position and pulling the attachment off.

Rinse the attachments under warm running water. Do NOT use hot

water, which may cause damage to components.

!Do not use harsh or corrosive cleaners on the unit or its attachments.

!Do not apply pressure or hard objects to attachments.

Cleaning the Mini-shaver

Thoroughly brush and blow out hair clippings from the cutter, the bottom of the attachments, and the top of the power handle or you may rinse.

Press the buttons at the ends of the screen head.

Remove the head and shake out the clippings or rinse.

Blow off the cutter assembly or rinse.

Replace the head, making sure the unit snaps in place.

Oiling the blades:

If you use your trimmer in the shower or rinse the attachments, you will need to lubricate the cutter blades once a month with blade oil.Simply spread 1-2 drops of oil lightly over the cutters with your finger- tip.Wipe away any excess oil from the cutters or the groomer.

Oil cautions

Use only the light-grade oil supplied or a suitable alternative like sewing machine oil – these oils will not evaporate and will not slow down the blades.

Do not use hair oil, grease,or any oil mixed with kerosene or solvent,as the solvent will evaporate and leave the thick oil, slowing the blades.

Note: Always store this appliance and cord in a moisture-free area.Do not store it in temperatures exceeding 140°F (60°C).
