OPERATION

WARNING:

Always wear safety googles or safety glasses dur- ing powertool operation or when blowing dust. If operatin is dusty, also wear a dust mask.

WARNING:

Exercise caution when using this tool. Careless actions, for even a fraction of a second, can result in serious personal injury.

TO INSTALL BLADE

Unplug the saw.

WARNING:

The tool should never be connected to a power supply when you are assembling parts, making ad- justments, cleaning, performing maintenance, or when the tool is not in use. Disconnecting the tool will prevent accidental starting that could cause serious injury.

Lift blade clamp lock / release lever located on side of saw. See Figure 2.

Insert saw blade between blade clamp and saw bar.

Lock blade clamp lever.

BASE ASSEMBLY

The base assembly of your reciprocating saw pivots up and down in both directions. The base is adjustable, allowing the use of the blade teeth at different positions on the blade.

TO CHANGE POSITIONS OF THE BASE ASSEMBLY:

See Figure 4.

Unplug the saw.

Remove hex key from the hex key storage location in the handle. See Figure 3.

Loosen the screws in the gear frame with the hex key. See Figure 4.

Reposition base assembly.

Retighten screws securely. Do not overtighten screws or use an aid with hex key.

Remove hex key and store it in hex key holder. See Figure 3.
