CHICKEN IN A POT
1 carrot, sliced 1 teaspoon salt
1 onion, sliced 12teaspoon coarse black pepper
1 celery stalk, sliced 14cup water, chicken broth or white wine
2 pound whole broiler/fryer chicken 12to 1 teaspoon basil

Put vegetables in bottom of stoneware. Add whole chicken. Top with salt, pepper,
