You can calibrate the CD-2’s Tuner to another instrument or

tuning standard by adjusting its “reference pitch.”

The reference pitch is the frequency of the A4 note. For

example, this is the pitch of the middle A note on a piano.

1Press until “TUNER” appears in the

display.

2Turn to change the reference

pitch.

• You can adjust this in a range of 435–445 Hz.

3When you’re finished adjusting the

reference pitch, press .

You’re returned to the previous readout.

As a tuning aid, you can have the CD-2 sound a guide tone

from the internal speakers.

1Press until “Tone” appears in the

display.

You will hear the guide tone shown in the screen.

2Turn to select the guide tone you

want to hear.

• You can choose one of 25 chromatic notes in the

range A3–A5.

3Tune your instrument to the guide tone.

4To stop the guide tone, press .

You’re returned to the previous readout.
