The RP583 is a clean, delightfully warm sounding compressor/limiter designed for a variety of uses. It can lightly compress a vocal track, or an overall program mix, or it can act as a ceiling for the audio allowing only a designated level of signal pass. All this is accomplished via optical isolated gain reduc- tion and tube circuits to maintain a pristine full- bodied sound. The RP583 has all the necessary features like analog metering, variable threshold, ratio, attack and release times, and a stereo link switch which combines the channels and makes Channel Two the master.

WHY A TUBE COMPRESSOR / LIMITER?
