6.If you want to use the Kettle again, allow the thermal safety switch to cool down for 15 – 20 seconds then depress the On/Off Switch to the On position. If the On/Off Switch does not remain in the ‘On’ position,
the Water is hot enough to use without reheating.
7.Unplug cord from wall outlet before lifting Kettle from Power Base. Grip the Kettle by the Handle only, as the surface and lid will be hot.
8.Return the Kettle to the Power Base or place on a heat resistant surface after use.
9.If the Kettle is accidently switched on when empty, the thermostat will automatically cycle switching the Kettle off and allowing it to cool down then switching it back on. If this situation occurs, unplug the Power Base and let the Kettle cool before refilling.
10.It is recommended that the power cord be disconnected from the wall outlet when not in use. DO NOT attempt to connect any other appliance to the Power Base or tamper with the connector in any way.
CARE AND CLEANING
1.Unplug power cord from wall outlet. Empty out remaining water and allow Kettle to cool before cleaning.
2.If necessary, remove and clean the Aquascreen Filter® by rinsing under running water. The Filter can be removed by grasping firmly between your thumb and forefinger and gently twisting off starting at either the right or left edge.
3.Under normal use, a deposit of scale may form on the inside of the Kettle and cause some discolouration. Scale, which has accumulated inside the Kettle, can be removed by boiling equal parts of white vinegar and water (500 ml / 2 cups of each is recommended). Once the water has boiled, allow mixture to stand several hours or overnight. Empty out mixture and fill Kettle to the MAX level with fresh water. Bring water
to a boil and discard. For heavy scale
