Saving a Phone Number
Your PCS Phone can store up to six phone numbers in
each of 300 Internal Phone Book entries. Each entry’s name
can contain 20 characters. Your phone automatically sorts the
Internal Phone Book entries alphabetically.
1. From standby mode, enter a phone number.
2. Press .
3. Press to Save
4. *The Add New Entry screen is displayed. Press to enter
a new name or scroll through the phone book to select an
existing name. Press to add the additional number to
the selected entry.
5. Select a label by highlighting the corresponding icon (Home,
Work, Mobile, Pager, Fax, or No Label) and press .
6. Enter a name for entry using the numeric keys. Press
to change the entry method between T9, Alpha, Symbol, and
Number. (See "Entering Text" on page 72.)
7. When finished entering the name, press to return to
the phone book entry.
8. Press to save the entry.
* - This step is not necessary on the very first entry saved into the phone.
Skip to the next step if you are entering the first entry in the phone book.
Finding a Phone Number
You can search Internal Phone Book entries for phone numbers
that contain a specific string of numbers.
To find a phone number:
1. Enter one to four numbers of the last four digits of a
phone number and press .
2. Press or for Find.
Note: If you enter more than four digits, press for Find.
