Las bajas temperaturas (por debajo de 0 °C) pueden afectar al rendimiento de las pilas y ocasionar una reducción de la vida de éstas.

Las pilas se recobrarán usualmente a temperaturas normales. Durante el uso prolongado de la cámara, el cuerpo de la misma podría calentarse. Esto es perfectamente normal. Es sencillo encontrar pilas alcalinas en los comercios. Sin embargo, la duración de uso de las pilas varía dependiendo del fabricante y de las condiciones de uso de la cámara. No utilice pilas de manganeso, porque no tienen la potencia necesaria.

Para esta cámara se recomienda una pila de gran capacidad (alcalina, hidruro de níquel). Si se utiliza otra pila, puede reducirse el tiempo de uso de la cámara.
