Az SD/SDHC memóriakártyán van egy írásvédett kapcsoló, mely megvédi a kép fájlokat attól, hogy törölve, vagy formázva legyenek. Ha a kapcsolót az SD/ SDHC memóriakártya alja felé csúsztatja, az adatok védve lesznek.

Ha a kapcsolót az SD/SDHC memóriakártya teteje felé csúsztatja, az adatvédelmet feloldja. Fényképezés előtt csúsztassa el a kapcsolót az SD/ SDHC emóriakártya teteje felé.

256 MB-os MMC memóriakártya használata esetén a képtárolási kapacitás az alábbiak szerint alakul. Ezek a számok hozzávetőlegesek, mivel a képtárolási kapacitás olyan tényezőktől függ, mint az alany és a memóriakártya típusa.
