:Uued failid nimetatakse järjestikuste numbritega, isegi kui kasutatakse uut mälukaarti, kui vorminda-takse või pärast kõikide piltide kustutamist.

-Esimese salvestatud kausta nimi on 100PHOTO ning esimese faili nimi SAM_0001.

-Failinimed määratakse järjest, alustades nimest SAM_0001

jätkates nimedega SAM_0002 ~ SAM_9999.

- Kaustanumber määratakse järjest, numbriks on 100 kuni 999 järgmiselt: 100PHOTO 101PHOTO ~ 999PHOTO.

-Ühes kaustas saab maksimaalselt olla 9999 faili.

-Mälukaardiga kasutatud failid vastavad DCF (Design rule for Camera File systems) vormingule. Kui muudate pildifaili nime, ei pruugi pildi taasesitus olla enam võimalik.
