ISO-herkkyys

Kameran valoherkkyys, joka pohjautuu vastaavaan filmikamerassa käytettyyn filmin nopeuteen. Suuremmilla ISO-herkkyysasetuksilla kamera käyttää suurempaa suljinnopeutta, mikä vähentää kameran tärinästä ja hämäryydestä johtuvaa sumeutta. Suurilla herkkyyksillä otetut kuvat kuitenkin kärsivät helpommin kohinasta.

JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group)

Häviöllinen digitaalikuvien pakkausmenetelmä. JPEG-kuvat on pakattu niiden tiedostokoon pienentämiseksi mahdollisimman vähällä kuvatarkkuuden heikkenemisellä.

LCD (Nestekidenäyttö)

Visuaalinen näyttö, jota käytetään usein kuluttajaelektroniikassa. Tämä näyttö tarvitsee värien tuottamiseen erillisen taustavalon, kuten CCFL:n tai LED:n.

Makro

Tällä ominaisuudella voit ottaa lähikuvia hyvin pienistä esineistä. Makroa käytettäessä kamera pystyy tarkentamaan terävästi pieniin esineisiin lähes todellisessa suhteessa (1:1).

Mittaus

Kohina

Tämä on yleiszoom, jossa kuvia suurennetaan linssillä ja joka ei heikennä kuvien laatua.

Laatu

Ilmaiseen digitaalikuvassa käytetyn pakkauksen astetta. Korkeampilaatuisten kuvien pakkausaste on pienempi, jolloin tiedostokoko on tavallisesti suurempi.

Tarkkuus

Digitaalikuvan pikselien määrä. Suurempitarkkuuksisissa kuvissa on enemmän pikseleitä, ja niissä näkyy tavallisesti enemmän yksityiskohtia kuin matalatarkkuuksisissa kuvissa.
