ACB (Auto Contrast Balance)

Questa funzione migliora automaticamente il contrasto dell'immagine quando il soggetto è in cntroluce o quando c'è un forte contrasto tra soggetto e sfondo.

AEB (Bracketing esposizione automatica)

Questa funzione registra automaticamente diverse immagini con esposizioni differenti per aiutarvi a fotografare un'immagine con esposizione adeguata.

Messa a fuoco automatica (AF)

Un sistema che consente all'obiettivo di mettere a fuoco il soggetto automaticamente. Per la messa a fuoco automatica la fotocamera utilizza il contrasto.

Diaframma

Il diaframma controlla la quantità di luce che arriva al sensore della fotocamera.

Vibrazione della fotocamera (sfocatura)

Se la fotocamera viene mossa quando l'otturatore è aperto, l'immagine può apparire sfocata. Questo accade soprattutto quando l'otturatore è lento. Evitate che la fotocamera vibri aumentando la sensibilità, utilizzando il flash o una maggiore velocità otturatore. In alternativa, utilizzate un cavalletto, la tecnonogia DIS o la funzione OIS per stabilizzare la fotocamera.

Composizione

Il termine composizione in fotografia indica la disposizione degli oggetti in una foto. In genere, la conformità alla regola dei terzi porta a buone composizioni.

DCF (Design rule for Camera File system)

Una specifica per definire un formato file e un sistema file per fotocamere digitali, creata da Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA).

Profondità di campo

La distanza tra il punto più vicino e quello più lontano che possono essere messi a fuoco in una fotografia. La profondità di campo varia in base all'apertura dell'obiettivo, alla lunghezza focale e alla distanza tra fotocamera e soggetto. Ad esempio, se selezionate un'apertura minore, la profondità di campo aumenta e lo sfondo della composizione si sfoca.

Zoom digitale

Una caratteristica che aumenta artificialmente lo zoom disponibile con obiettivi zoom (zoom ottico). Quando utilizzate lo zoom digitale, la qualità dell'immagine diminuisce all'aumentare dell'ingrandimento.
