Hvordan blændeindstillingen, lukkerhastighed og ISO-følsomhed kontrollerer eksponeringen

Blændeindstillingen, lukkerhastighed og ISO-følsomheden hænger snævert sammen, når der tages et billede. Blændeindstillingen kontrollerer den åbning, der regulerer lysmængden, der kommer ind i kameraet, mens lukkerhastighed bestemmer hvor lang tid, lyset får lov til at komme ind. ISO-følsomheden bestemmer den hastighed, hvormed filmen reagerer på lys. Sammen beskrives disse tre aspekter som eksponeringens tre faktorer.

Langsom = sløret

Lukkerhastighed, blændeværdi eller ISO-følsomhed kan ændres ved at justere de andre parametre for at opretholde lysmængden. Resultatet ændres dog i henhold til indstillingerne. Lukkerhastigheden er f.eks. nyttig til at udtrykke bevægelse, blænderen kan kontrollere dybdeskarpheden, og ISO-følsomheden kan kontrollere et billedes kornethed.
