Corrélation entre la longueur de focale, l’angle et la perspective

La distance focale, exprimée en millimètres, correspond à la distance séparant le milieu de l’objectif du foyer de mise au point. Elle influe sur l’angle et la perspective des images capturées. Une distance focale courte génère un angle de vision étendu, ce qui permet de photographier un plan large. Une distance focale longue génère un angle de vision étroit, ce qui permet de photographier au téléobjectif.
