Enhanced Write Filter (EWF)

Enhanced Write Filter (EWF) suojaa flash-asemaa kirjoitukselta ja täten säilyttää flash-laitteen kestävyyttä. EWF mahdollistaa lukemisen ja kirjoituksen asiakkaalle välimuistilla sen sijaan, että antaisi suoran pääsyn flash-asemaan.

Jos EWF on käytössä, tietoa ei tallenneta flash-muistiin. Välimuistissa olevat tiedot ovat vain voimassa kun asiakasohjelma on käytössä. Välimuistissa olevat tiedot menetetään kun asiakasohjelma käynnistetään uudelleen tai sammutetaan. Siksi välimuistissa olevat tiedot on siirrettävä flash-asemaan jos esim. rekisteriin, suosikkeihin ja evästekansioihin tallennettuja tietoja halutaan tallentaa. Virheviesti näkyy kun välimuistiin ei voi kirjoittaa vähäisen muistin vuoksi. Poista EWF käytöstä virheviestin ilmetessä, jotta voit tyhjentää EWF-välimuistin. Käyttäjä voi tuoda EWF Managerin esille kaksoisnapsauttamalla näytön oikeassa alakulmassa olevaa EWF-kuvaketta. Käyttäjä voi myös muuttaa EWF-määrityksen kirjoittamalla EWF-hallintakomennot komentokehotteeseen. Tämä toiminto vaatii Administrator- oikeudet.

Ota EWF käyttöön jos se on poistettu käytöstä. Jos tämä kohde on valittu, välimuisti tyhjennetään ja EWF otetaan käyttöön. Kun tietokone käynnistetään uudelleen, määritykset ja asiakasohjelman tiedostojärjestelmän tiedot kirjoitetaan välimuistiin. Voit myös suorittaa tämän toiminnon kirjoittamalla “ewfmgr.exe c: -enable” komentokehotteeseen ja käynnistämällä tietokoneen uudelleen.
