Vienu metu galima žiūrėti televizorių ir dar vieną išorinį vaizdo šaltinį. Pavyzdžiui, jeigu kabelinės televizijos priedėlis yra prijungtas prie kabelinės televizijos įvesties lizdo, naudojant funkciją PIP, galima žiūrėti programas, transliuojamas per kabelinės televizijos imtuvą, ir filmą, leidžiamą „Blu-ray“ leistuvu, kuris yra įjungtas į HDMI įvesties lizdą. PIP veikia skirtingais režimais.
