Alle systemer utstyrt CD- eller DVD-stasjoner oppfyller sikkerhetsstandardene, inkludert IEC 60825-1. Laserenhetene i disse komponentene er klassifisert som “Class 1 Laser Products” under en strålingsstandard fra Helse- og omsorgsdepartementet (DHHS) i USA.
