•Laitteen on annettava tasaantua kaksi tuntia asennuksen jälkeen.

•Laitteen suorituskyky paranee, jos

-Ruokia ei aseteta liian lähekkäin laitteen takaosassa olevien tuuletusaukkojen eteen, jottei ilman kierto esty pakastimessa.

-Ruuat kääritään huolellisesti tai peitetään ilmatiiviisti ennen jääkaappiin tai pakastimeen asettamista.

-Uusia pakastettavia ruokia ei sijoiteta jo pakastettujen ruokien viereen.

•Älä sijoita pakastimeen hiilihapotettuja juomia.

•Noudata pakasteruokapakkauksissa mainittuja säilytysohjeita ja -aikoja.

•Jääkaappia ei ole tarpeen irrottaa verkkovirrasta, jos poissaolo kestää alle kolme viikkoa. Jos poissaolo kestää yli kolme viikkoa, tyhjennä jääkaappi. Irrota jääkaapin virtajohto ja puhdista, huuhtele ja kuivaa jääkaappi.

•Alle kaksi tuntia kestävät virtakatkokset eivät useimmiten vaikuta jääkaapin lämpötilaan. Ovien avauskertoja on kuitenkin järkevää rajoittaa sähkökatkoksen aikana. Jos sähkökatkos kestää kauemmin kuin 24 tuntia, kaikki pakasteet on poistettava.
