Tap Network operators, Tap Default setup

4.Tap Access Point Names to view your present APN, add a new APN, or Reset your APN to the default value. Press and hold an APN to edit the settings.

5.Tap Network operators.

The current network connection displays at the bottom of the list.

Important!: You must deactivate data service prior to searching for an available network.

6.Tap Search networks to manually search for a network.

7.Tap Select automatically to automatically select a network connection.

Note: Connecting to 2G networks slows the data transfer speed and time.

Default setup options

Your tablet default is set to Automatic (to automatically search for an available network. You can set this option to Manual to select a network each time you connect.

1.From the Home screen, tap ➔ Settings ➔ Wireless and network ➔ Mobile networks ➔ Network operators.

2.Tap Default setup.

3.Tap Manual to locate and connect to a network manually, or tap Automatic to allow the device to automatically select a network.

USB Settings

1.From the Home screen, tap ➔ Settings ➔ Wireless and network ➔ USB settings.

2.Select one of the following USB settings:

•Kies (Firmware update): a software suite that allows you to search and download applications directly from a PC. The applications are then installed onto a mobile device when synced with a PC, providing instant back up and peace of mind for application downloads. •Media player: connects your device to a PC in order to synchronize files with Windows Media Player. For more information, refer to “Synchronizing with Windows Media Player” on page 98.

•Mass storage: allows you to use the onboard storage capacity of the tablet to store and upload files. This option allows your computer to detect the tablet as a removable storage drive. For more information, refer to “Connecting as a Mass Storage Device” on page 99.

•Ask on connection: allows you to make a USB setting selection as soon as the USB cable from your tablet is connected with a PC.
