Envuelva las comidas en porciones cuyo tamaño se ajuste al consumo doméstico.

Las porciones de frutas y verduras no deben superar 1 kg. de peso, mientras que las porciones de carne pueden llegar a los 2,5 kg.

Las porciones pequeñas requieren menos tiempo de congelación y, por lo tanto, es más fácil conservar su calidad durante la descongelación y la preparación.

Conviene que guarde los alimentos en bolsas o recipientes herméticos para evitar que pierdan su sabor o que se deshidraten.

Envuelva los alimentos, presione ligeramente para extraer todo el aire y, después, cierre debidamente la bolsa o recipiente.

Materiales de envoltura recomendados:

Bolsas de plástico, film transparente, papel de aluminio y recipientes especiales para el congelador. Podrá adquirir estos objetos en cualquier establecimiento de distribución.

Materiales de envoltura no recomendados:

Papel de envolver, papel resistente a la grasa, papel de celofán, bolsas de basura o bolsas de transporte que han sido utilizadas anteriormente.

Materiales de cierre recomendados:

Gomas de plástico, pinzas de plástico, cinta de sellado especial para congelación o similares. Puede cerrar las bolsas de plástico aplicando calor con un objeto especial de sellado térmico.

Antes de colocar alimentos envueltos en el congelador, debe marcarlos con una etiqueta que indique claramente su contenido y la fecha de congelación.
