Shooting in the dark
Preventing red-eye 2154
If the flash fires when you take a photo of a person in the dark, a red
glow may appear in the eyes. To prevent this, select (Red Eye) or
(Red Eye Fix).
Using the flash 2154
Use the flash when taking photos in the dark.

In Shooting mode, press [e] repeatedly to change the flash

option.

Option Description
(Auto) The flash fires when the subject or background
is dark.
(Red Eye)*
The flash fires when the subject or
background is dark.
The camera reduces red-eye.
(Fill In) The flash always fires.
Light intensity is adjusted automatically.
