●● Dinamičke naspram statičkih IP adresa

Ako mreža zahtijeva dinamičku IP adresu, morate koristiti ADSL modem ili usmjernik koji podržava protokol DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol). Modemi i usmjernici koji podržavaju DHCP automatski dobavljaju vrijednosti za IP adresu, masku podmreže, pristupnik i DNS poslužitelj koje su televizoru potrebne za pristup Internetu, tako da ih ne morate ručno unositi. Većina kućnih mreža koristi dinamičku IP adresu.

Ako je za mrežu potrebna statička IP adresa, prilikom postavljanja mrežne veze ručno unesite vrijednosti za IP adresu, masku podmreže, pristupnik i DNS poslužitelj. Vrijednosti za IP adresu, masku podmreže, pristupnik i DNS poslužitelj zatražite od davatelja internetskih usluga (ISP).

Ako je za mrežu potrebna statička IP adresa, koristite ADSL modem koji podržava DHCP. ADSL modemi koji podržavaju DHCP dopuštaju i statičke IP adrese.

Komponentni priključci većinom se koriste za igraće konzole i prenose videosignal dijeljenjem u signal osvjetljenja (Y) i dvobojne signale (Pb i Pr). Priključak je označen kao [Component IN]_(Pr, Pb, Y) na stražnjoj strani televizora. Na nekim je uređajima ponekad označen kao Cr, Cb, Y. Cb i Cr digitalne su konverzije signala Pb i Pr.

Priključci su u pravilu označeni bojom – crvena (R), plava (B) i zelena (G) – i nude najbolju moguću kvalitetu slike za analogno povezivanje.
