SCEPTRE E420 LED HDTV User Manual
3D Settings Explained
This Sceptre TV is capable of producing stereoscopic images which with the help of 3D
passive glasses give the effect of depth to the 2D TV. There are multiple methods to
achieve 3D effect because of different movie / TV companies. This TV incorporates t he
3 major methods used (side by side, top and bottom, and frame packing). This TV is
also capable of using existing 2D images to produce 3D effects, but they will be less
pronounced. At this current time 3D TV show content is scarce, please consult your
local cable or satellite provider for more 3D content. Please note: YOU NEED TO WEAR
THE PASSIVE 3D GLASSES included in the package to experience 3D. Without the glasses
you will see blurry images.
WHEN PLAYING BLU-RAY
Your Sceptre will only auto detect one type of 3D effect which is frame packing. If this
effect is present in the Blu-ray DVD then y it will automatically revert to the 3D mode.
However if the movie is using side by side or top and bottom then you will need to
manually switch the 3D mode to get the desired 3 D effect. Please consult your
PICTURE > 3D SETTINGS menu for the option or you can use the RED A hotkey to
immediately call up the options to change them.
Certain 3D movies use the left image as the main image instead of the right. With the
wrong main image your 3D effects will not be as pronounced or smooth. Please consult
your PICTURE > 3D SETTINGS menu for the option or you can use the YELLOW C
hotkey to change the L R SWAP option.
