To find the serial number for your
• | Verify that the power to your TV is turned on. |
• | If the 940 is plugged into a wall switch, verify the wall switch is in |
| the ON position. |
| Note: You should avoid plugging the 940 into an outlet that is |
| controlled by a wall switch. |

• Verify that the TV is set to the proper input channel. |

•Verify that the current TV program is broadcast in color.
•Adjust the TV color controls.
2.Connect the set-top and VCR
to the appropriate audio and video inputs as shown in the diagram.
3.Connect the set-top to the coaxial cable coming in from the wall.
4.Plug the set-top’s external power supply and TV into an AC power source.
5.Plug the VCR into an AC power source.
6.Plug the DC cord from the external power supply into the set-top.

•If your setup includes a stereo, verify that you have properly connected it to the 940.
•Verify that the volume is turned up.
•Verify that the mute function is not engaged.
7.For the TV to receive the signal, press the appropriate button on the remote control to select the audio/video inputs to which you have connected the 940.
