TC12 Installation, Commissioning & Maintenance Handbook
The GRX handset command (see section 3.3.3.8) must be used together with the
above jumper positions in order to activate the desired communications interface.
3.2.3 Connectors and C
3.2.3.1 PSU Cable - OTU and Detectors
Connect the PSU ca (part number 66 /000) to the Outstation PCB.
This cable connects from the power supply to the 14-way connector, PL3 on the
PCB.
2 wires from the Mol connector at the sed to connect to the detectors.
The Brown wire is +24 V and the Blue wire is the 0 V. These connect to the first
detector nearest to the power supply. Additional detectors are supplied with 24 V
by 'daisy chaining' wires from the first detector.
NOTE. Do not connect/disconnect the cable whilst the power is switched on.
3.2.3.2 Mains Cable
The mains cable (part number 508/4/27193/

Outstation.
3.2.3.3 Telephone Cable th 6-way Plug
The OTU comes fitted with a telephone cable terminated in a 6 way telecom plug.
Connect the telephone plug to the telephone socket in the traffic control
equipment.
[For information only - the other end of the telephone cable attaches to SK4 on the
PCB underneath the er. Connection ork termination unit uses either
2 or 4 wires. The wi lours/functions d 4 wire cases are shown in
Figure 24].
Note The cable should never be disconnected from the PCB Socket (SK4)
whilst the other end is connected to the telephone network (via the
network termination unit). In order to prevent the cable being
disconnect rom the PCB b , the release lever on the 6-
way plug that connects to Socket SK4 is cut off. The top PCB cover
