Monitron Compact, easy to install for new or “standby” installations

Monitron combines the availability and dependability of electricity with the comfort and performance of conventional hydronic heating using baseboard, radiant or cast-iron radiators.

Monitron as a replacement unit: Works with virtually any existing hot water hydronic radiation system. Although rated in kilowatts, it is also clearly identified by BTU output.

Monitron as a standby unit: Particularly suitable for commercial and industrial facilities, or office buildings which can’t risk down-time with their existing heating equipment. If oil or gas is temporarily unavail- able, the owner easily switches the heating system to the electric boiler.

Monitron as a primary heating unit offers:

The convenience of electricity and the comfort of hydronics.

The elimination of a chimney.

Competitive pricing with electric baseboard systems.

Simple zoning by zone valves.

Monitron by Slant/Fin is the electronic-age boiler designed to save energy for new or existing heating systems.

NORMAL OPERATIONS

When the thermostat calls for heat, the circulator turns on and the first electric heater bank is energized. At preset 30-second intervals, the other heater banks automatically energize. The circulator contin- ues operating until the room thermostat is satisfied. A flow switch supplied by Slant/Fin or others is required. It prevents the elements from being energized unless the circulator is operating. This avoids element burnout.

OPTIONAL MILD-WEATHER OPERATION

Mild-weather energy savings are made possible through the use of circuit breakers on the breaker panel. This permits the owner to manually switch off one or more of the elements. Then, when just a moderate amount of heat is needed, all the elements are not ener- gized, cycling is reduced, and overheating is diminished. This ener- gy-saving feature is standard on Monitron models EH-12-S through EH-40-S.

Monitron EH Boilers specifications

Slant/Fin Monitron EH Boilers are a cornerstone in the world of residential heating systems, known for their efficiency, reliability, and innovative features. Designed specifically for hydronic heating, these boilers stand out in both performance and design, making them an excellent choice for homeowners seeking comfort and dependability.

One of the main features of the Monitron EH Boiler line is its exceptional efficiency, which is a critical factor in today’s energy-conscious environment. With an AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) rating that often exceeds 85%, these boilers provide substantial energy savings over time. This efficiency not only reduces utility bills but also aligns with environmental conservation efforts, appealing to a growing demographic of eco-friendly consumers.

The Monitron EH boilers utilize an advanced electronic ignition system that provides reliable ignition and reduces energy consumption. Unlike traditional standing pilot systems, this technology ensures that the boiler only ignites when necessary, further enhancing efficiency while providing reliable performance throughout the heating season.

Another significant characteristic is the integrated, multi-zone capability, allowing homeowners to maintain different temperatures in various areas of their homes. This feature is particularly beneficial for larger residences or spaces with varying heating needs, enabling personalized comfort levels without sacrificing performance.

Furthermore, the construction of Slant/Fin Monitron EH Boilers emphasizes durability and longevity. The heat exchanger is crafted from high-quality materials designed to withstand the test of time. This resilience is critical in reducing maintenance costs and ensuring constant reliability, as these boilers are often expected to operate for decades.

The compact design of the Monitron EH models makes them easy to install in a variety of settings. Their small footprint allows them to fit snugly into tight spaces, making them ideal for homeowners with limited installation options.

In terms of safety, these boilers are equipped with numerous features that provide peace of mind, including an automatic reset and a comprehensive safety shutoff system. This ensures that the system will shut down in the event of a malfunction, preventing potential hazards and offering additional protection for users.

In summary, Slant/Fin Monitron EH Boilers are a top choice for those looking to invest in an efficient, durable, and advanced hydronic heating solution. Their combination of superior efficiency, innovative technologies, and user-friendly features make them an excellent addition to any home heating system.
