TigerSwitch™ 10/100/1000
SMC Networks™ TigerSwitch™ 10/100/1000 (SMC8612T2) is a Layer 2 Standalone managed switch capable of provid- ing gigabit connections to workgroups in a 1U chassis. The SMC8612T2 delivers 12 ports of 10/100/1000 copper gigabit (including 4 combo SFP ports) with a total of 24Gbps wirespeed bandwidth which enables better performance and throughput for small workgroups or server aggregation. The SFP slots provide the capability to add 1 gigabit fiber modules for longer distance connections. The TigerSwitch 10/100/1000 is designed to provide industry standard features and management for increasing productivity, including seamless configuration through an
In addition to simplified management a full set of layer 2 features such as; LACP for increased bandwidth and port trunking, Spanning Tree for failover protection (including 802.1s), QoS available with 8 queues, VLAN support for segmenting your network, and bandwidth management per port depending on your network needs. The TigerSwitch™ 10/100/1000 is able to deliver the necessary bandwidth and security to the edge of the network, capable of supporting even the toughest applications.
