Highlighting a word(s) (“Create/Edit Notes”)

You can highlight a word(s) on a book page.

There are two ways to perform the operation:

Double-tapping a word in the book page of the book.
Using the Option menu (

).
Hints

You can add a comment to a highlight. For details, refer to “Adding
a comment to a bookmark or highlight” (
page 104
).

You can also highlight a word(s) with a hyperlink and add a
comment to it (
page 104
).
Notes

When you tap a highlighted word(s) with a hyperlink, the Comment
editor (
page 105

) or the Comment viewer (
page 108
)
appears instead of jumping to a page. To enable the hyperlink, hide
the highlights using “Hide Notes” in the Option menu (
page 112
),
or delete the highlight (
page 99
).

You cannot highlight the cover page and pictures, as well as book/
chapter titles that are displayed in the upper right of a book page.
