Preparations

Checking the Supplied Accessories
Check that you have the following items:
•AC adaptor (1)
• Car battery adaptor (1)
• Remote commander (remote) (1)
• Size AA (R6) batteries (2)

To prepare the remote

Insert two Size AA (R6) batteries by
matching the 3 and # ends on the
batteries to the markings inside th e battery
compartment.
Charging the Rechargeable Battery
Charge the rechargeable battery before
using the player for the first time, or when
the battery is depleted.

Connect the AC adaptor.

Charging begins. The CHARGE indicator
lights up while charging.

Charge the battery in an ambient temperature of
between 5°C (41°F) and 35°C (95°F).

Charging time and playing time

Charging time: approx. 4.5 hours
Playing time: approx. 4.5 hours
Times indicated are under the following
conditions:
• Charging time
–moderate temperature (20° C (68°F))
–power-off
• Playing time
–moderate temperature (20° C (68°F))
–headphone use
–backlight set to minimum
Depending on the ambient temperature or
rechargeable battery condition, charging
time may be longer, or playing time may
be reduced.
