If preset tuning does not work—Automatic tuning/ Local Seek ModeAutomatic tuning:Turn the SEEK/AMS control dial to search for the station.

Scanning stops when the unit receives a station. Turn the SEEK/AMS control dial until the desired station is received.

Local Seek Mode:

If the automatic tuning stops too frequently, press (SENS/BTM) repeatedly until “LOCAL-ON” appears.

“LCL” indicator is displayed.

Only the stations with relatively strong signals will be tuned in.

Tip

If you know the frequency of the station you want to listen to, turn the SEEK/AMS control dial until the desired frequency appears (manual tuning).

If FM stereo reception is poor—Monaural ModeDuring radio reception, press (SENS/BTM) repeatedly until “MONO-ON” appears.

“MONO” indicator is displayed.

The sound improves, but becomes monaural (“ST” disappears).

To return to normal mode, select “MONO- OFF.”

Overview of RDS

FM stations with Radio Data System (RDS) service send inaudible digital information along with the regular radio programme signal. For example, one of the following will be displayed upon receiving a station with RDS capability.

Notes

•Depending on the country or region, not all of the RDS functions are available.
