Playing groups

1Perform steps 1 and 2 of “Changing Playback Options (PLAY MODE)”

(page 20). In step 3, select “GROUP” or “GROUP SHUFFLE” and press on the jog lever.

2Flick the jog lever toward /to select a group.

If you select a group on an MP3 CD, etc. by searching through all the directories, press or .

If you select a group within the same directory, flick the jog lever toward /.

3Press on the jog lever for 2 seconds or more.

The player starts playback of all files in the group you have selected.

4When “REPEAT” appears, select “ON” or “OFF” and press on the jog lever.

Note

If the group has no tracks, or the group is located in the lowest directory level, “Invalid” appears on the display.

Playing your favorite

tracks (Bookmark play)1During play of the track to which you want to add a Bookmark, presson the jog lever until flashes slowly.2If you want to add a Bookmark to two or more tracks, repeat step 1.

You can add Bookmarks to up to 10 CDs for audio CDs (up to 99 tracks for each CD) and up to 5 CDs* for ATRAC CDs/ MP3 CDs (up to 999 tracks for each CD).

During play of a track with a Bookmark, press and hold on the jog lever until disappears.

Notes

•If you try to add Bookmarks to tracks on an 11th CD (on a 6th CD* when playing ATRAC CDs/ MP3 CDs), the Bookmarks of the CD you played first will be erased.

•All Bookmarks stored in memory will be erased if you remove all power sources.

* When each CD has 513 tracks or more.
